Meet John
I have been working in real estate since 2009, when I teamed up with my son, Mark, to form The Madden Team. With over 15 years of experience, I have had the privilege of helping countless clients navigate one of the most significant decisions of their lives. Born and raised in Watertown, Metro Boston is my home, and I am proud to serve my community as a real estate professional.
What drives me in this business is my passion for working with people. I enjoy listening to my clients, understanding their needs, and guiding them through the process with honesty, integrity, and care. I believe that providing my clients with the knowledge and attention they need allows them to make informed, confident decisions. Over the years, I have earned numerous accolades, including several Agent of the Month awards and the BHHS Commonwealth Real Estate Gold Medal, all of which reflect my commitment to providing top-notch service.
I graduated from Bentley College (now Bentley University) in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, which has been an asset in my real estate career, especially when it comes to handling financial aspects of transactions. Additionally, I served in the U.S. Air Force from 1972 to 1976, an experience that shaped my values of discipline, responsibility, and service.
Outside of my work in real estate, I enjoy spending time with my wife of 47 years, our three sons, and ten grandchildren. We love traveling, and I often play golf with my friends. I also stay active in my community, having served in various leadership roles, including coaching and being on the Board of Directors for a Human Services Agency. I volunteer for several local organizations because I believe in giving back and making a positive impact.
