Lavette is a Realtor and an investor, who operates with confidence, clarity and purpose. She is also eager to facilitate the needs of those not ready to purchase and look for accommodations that fit their current needs.
With 26 years of experience in fields that align with real estate, Lavette brings a unique perspective and deep understanding to her work as a real estate agent. Transitioning from being an academician, a “lovelord” and a property manager, she has always been passionate about helping others and has spent years working "adjacent" to the real estate industry before deciding to take the next step and become an agent herself. What truly motivated her to pursue this career was her firsthand experience with agents in the industry, which highlighted the need for professionalism, integrity, and dedication to client care. Lavette aims to bring these qualities to every transaction, ensuring that clients feel supported and confident at every stage of the process.
In addition to her strong educational foundation—holding a Bachelor's degree from UMass Boston and a Master's degree from Columbia University—Lavette is a lifelong learner, constantly seeking opportunities to refine her skills and stay current with industry trends. She actively reads, listens to podcasts, and contributes to various publications to ensure she brings the most up-to-date knowledge to her clients.
Her background as a real estate investor, particularly in residential property renovation and leasing, gives her a practical edge and insight that is invaluable to her clients. Though she is relatively new to holding an active real estate license, Lavette’s extensive experience in property ownership and investment allows her to guide clients with a unique understanding of both the logistical and emotional aspects of real estate transactions.
Based in the heart of Boston, Lavette is deeply engaged in her community, serving as the president of her neighborhood association. This connection to the area enhances her ability to offer clients informed advice on local trends and opportunities. Her involvement with civic leaders and elected officials provides her with a network and insight that benefits her clients, ensuring she is always in the know about developments and changes that could affect their real estate decisions.
Outside of work, Lavette is an avid collector of earrings from various cultures and regions—a hobby that reflects her love for diversity and exploration. Having lived in Japan for eight years and in the Americas for a couple of years, she speaks Japanese and Spanish and enjoys connecting with people.
